During 2022, the local authority launched a new tariff across North Northamptonshire to create a unified tariff across all licenced Hackney Carriages.
Sky Cabs were opposed to the new tariff and supported a major public campaign to object against the tariff changes. The new tariff made taxis more expensive for the community and as a result Sky Cabs Launched Tariff 4 and 5 for all bookings.
This gives our customers a cheaper starting rate than the Council set Tariff and a cheaper pence increase across the journey.
Our taxi’s have a yellow dot on to identify this, as well as both the North Northamptonshire Council Tariff, and the Sky Cabs Tariff 4 /5 Tariff sheets displayed in every taxi.
